I have to confess that I like the odd Pinot Grigio but generally appreciate Pinot Gris more. Although they are the same grape, the former is usually made in Italy and the latter in the Alsace region of France. The Alsatian fuller and richer style is often reproduced around the world with great success. This wine is an excellent example of this, the 2017 vintage tastes of deliciously ripe pears, it has floral and spicy elements to it, nicely rounded with balanced acidity and a long finish. Well worth all of its £9.99
